The 2015 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano

As the Official Partner and Watch of the Organización Latinoamericana de Fomento del Pura Sangre de Carrera (OSAF), Longines is proud to be the Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano. In addition, the Swiss watch brand will organize a Longines Prize for Elegance to reward the most elegant lady attending the event.

The Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano is the most important international Group 1 horse race in Latin America.  This annual event is held in a different country of the region every year. On 14 March 2015, the Palermo racecourse in Buenos Aires (Argentina) will host this prestigious event, of which Longines is the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper.

Until that day, the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano trophy, symbol of the excellence of the winners of this mythical race, can be admired at the Galerías Pacífico in Buenos Aires. This is the perfect occasion to discover the Conquest Classic collection, a line of timepieces dedicated to the equestrian world. True to the brand’s values of elegance, tradition and performance, this collection, whose models are all fitted with self-winding calibres, is at the same time totally contemporary and perfectly timeless.

The Official Watch of the 2015 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano will be a chronograph from this collection. With a diameter of 41 mm, this timepiece in steel houses an exclusive mechanical column-wheel caliber. Its black dial is set with one arabic numeral and 11 applied indices with Super-LumiNova®.

Longines has shown passionate enthusiasm for the world of horses since 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Today, Longines is proud to be partnering with the most important international equestrian sports institutions.
