Ford’s Le Mans GT could look like this

Last week we brought you the tiniest, sneakiest peek at what a Le Mans-ready Ford GT could look like. The new supercar, lest we forget, will arrive just as the balloons are inflated and party poppers pulled for the 50th anniversary of the original GT's legendary 24-hour victory.

It may have been the tiniest glimpse of something unconfirmed, but it's proved more than enough to get rc82 workchop wielding their electronic crayons. And as well as spinning off the standard GT's blue hue, rc82 has also seen fit to give its speculative motorsport GT the Gulf livery made oh-so-famous at La Sarthe.

We're smitten. But it's no surprise. We're big fans of rc82 here at TG, with recent produce including the BMW M4 CSL, Mercedes AMG GT Black and, rather more absurdly, this Bugatti-Beetle.

The definitely not real Ford GT LM you see above, being a thing that doesn't actually exist, arrives with no specs attached to it. Quite what Ford has planned beyond the GT road car is itself a mystery.

A car like the one above looks like it would sit neither here nor there within Endurance Championship regulations, looking a bit too conventional to be top-class competitive, but too honed for the GT classes. Something like Nissan's loosely GT-R-based LMP1 car might be more in order if overall victory is the aim.
