It’s the new Chevy Camaro!

Though there's no detail on this next-generation Camaro, we know it'll arrive at some point next year, this being the final year of production for the current model.

You'll have to sit through just under a minute's worth of Chevrolet spiel to get to the new car, however. The video acts as both a teaser for that new Camaro, and a reminder of how many models Chevy has sold of the current, fifth-generation Camaro.

All in, we're told nearly half a million models have been sold since 2009, and - according to GM - in 2010 it pipped the Ford Mustang to become America's best-selling performance car; a title it has held ever since.

Can the new one continue this trend and take on the new Mustang? Though details are slim, we don't need much telepathy to ascertain that the next Camaro will be powerful. The current one comes in ‘SS' trim, with 426bhp, a track-only Z/28 trim, and of course, the supercharged ZL1 with 580bhp, which makes it the most powerful Camaro in history.

We'll have more as soon as we hear it, so stay tuned...

Here's a very brief, ten-second video preview of the upcoming, sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro, in camouflage, on a sunny track.
