DETROIT General Motors is recalling 68,887 2013-'14 Cadillac ATS and 21,863 2014 Cadillac CTS sedans because the driver may not be able to shift the transmission in or out of gear, the automaker said on Monday.
"In certain vehicles with automatic transmissions, the shift cable may not be fully secured to the shifter bracket or transmission bracket," GM said in a statement. "If the shift cable comes out of the brackets, the driver may not be able to shift the transmission in or out of gear."
GM said it is unaware of any crashes or injuries linked to the recall.
Cadillac dealers will inspect and make sure the shift cable is properly attached.
There is no start date for the recall at this point.

This action is part of a larger recall announcement made yesterday by General Motors.
