The $1.2 million Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG


At the Miami International Boat Show, Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing joined forces for the fifth consecutive year to present the all-new 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S and Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept. As the most powerful production twin engine performance boat, the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept marries the characteristic styling and thoroughbred motorsport technology of the Mercedes-AMG GT S. Incorporating a stunning AMG Solarbeam Yellow painted exterior with custom matte black accents, the new concept boat was designed to mimic the dynamic character of the Mercedes-AMG GT S that will be on display alongside it.

With the launch of the Mercedes-AMG GT S in April, Mercedes-AMG is introducing a highly compelling new pure-bred sports car that combines driving dynamics and first-class racetrack performance with a stunning design. Its front mid-engine design and use of intelligent aluminum lightweight construction form the basis for a highly dynamic driving experience. The newly developed AMG 4.0-liter V-8 biturbo engine underscores the hallmark of AMG driving performance and develops 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, propelling the car from 0 – 60 mph in a breathtaking 3.7 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing have been collaborating since 2007, primarily for organizing joint customer and marketing activities. Whether on land or water, performance is what unites Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing. Similar to its Mercedes-AMG super sports counterpart, the 38' to 55' (11.6 to 16.8 meters) long powerboat from the American specialists is amongst the world's fastest and most exclusive machines. These boats boast custom-made, hand-crafted quality for enthusiasts and are tested under extreme conditions. Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing also have similar DNA makeups: both companies have triumphant racing roots and are still dedicated to this passion.

The Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept is powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 1550 HP V8 engines rigged in a Solarbeam engine room. Lightweight construction has allowed for approximately 1000 lbs. to be removed from the standard spec weight, thereby allowing the 50' boat with a width of 8' to achieve an estimated top speed of more than 135 mph.

Design, Fittings and Cockpit with Signature AMG Elements

The design and fittings reflect the dynamic characteristics of the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept. The hand-crafted interior is black and Solarbeam with marine grade black alcantara accents and features a traditional Cigarette Racing helm layout. The exterior features a gloss black gel coat hull with an AMG logo in Solarbeam and matte black accents. User interface technology is also maximized with Bluetooth, computerized controls, four high-definition displays, and the next generation integration of Garmin and Cigarette navigation and audio.
